It is very likely that next week most Puerto Ricans will gain access to the internet from their cell phones once the company Alphabet, through its subsidiary X, completes tests carried out by positioning the Project Loon balloons over Puerto Rico.

The mission is to be able to operate in conjunction with the local telecommunications companies to provide the island with LTE (Long Term Evolution) signal coverage, offering internet and communication through electronic messaging, a service that to date has been non-existent in many areas of the island after the mobile communication infrastructure was destroyed after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
