Job Summary:	We are looking to hire an organized, detail-oriented, systematic, and motivated individual for the position of Research Support Specialist. The person in this position will be responsible for the general operation and organization of the laboratory, the maintenance of the lab's mouse colony, and performing experimental work. Duties include; maintaining all lab records and databases, ordering and organization of general lab supplies/reagents, care and maintenance of mouse colony (accurate record keeping, breeding, genotyping), collection of tissue samples for molecular analyses (isolation of DNA, RNA or protein, PCR) and immunohistochemistry. Enthusiastic individuals should have strong interest in our research and a college/collaborative environment, have willingness to learn new techniques, provide assistance to the principal investigator, and possess strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications:	Bachelor's degree in science, preferably in Biology or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:	Previous experience working in a basic science laboratory (1-2 years) preferred.
Work Days:	Monday-Friday, days; evening and weekend hours may be required, depending on experiments.
