WHO WE ARE
HuBMAP is an NIH-funded initiative that will generate 3D tissue maps and construct an atlas of the function and relationships among cells in the human body. These maps and atlas can lead us to a better understanding of how the relationships among our cells affect our health. The Underrepresented Student Internship
Program provides the opportunity for undergraduate students from U.S. colleges and universities to receive mentorship and training from one of 18 HuBMAP labs over the summer.

WHO YOU ARE
An undergraduate student attending a U.S. institution at the time of application
Majoring in any of the STEM fields with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Age 17 or older
A member of an underrepresented group in biomedical research (as defined by NIH)
Compensation: $6000 stipend
Travel/Housing Assistance Provided
Committment: Full-time for 10-12 weeks between May 20 - August 16, 2024
Preference will be given to students who do not have ready access to biomedical (and/or single
cell biology) research opportunities at their home institutions.
