Anticipated Salary Range

Salary range is $34,850-$61,850.00 

FSUS salary scale is approved through collective bargaining and is based on education and experience.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science and proof of eligibility for State of Florida Professional Educator*s Certificate in Earth/Space Science, Chemistry or Physics.  Must maintain certification throughout employment.

 

Background Check Requirements

A Level 2 fingerprint check is a condition of employment with the cost being the responsibility of the successful candidate.  Recertification is required at 5 year intervals (at the employee's expense).

 

Preferred

ESOL Compliant , Masters Degree, Teaching experience.

 

Schedule

Ten month appointment based on 214 days.  There are 191 actual workdays with 8 hours each day.   Some summer work may be required.

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Director, Principal or Assistant Principal of a University Developmental Research School or other appropriate administrator of a State University.  Responsible for planning and conducting classes for students in the Development Research School, including activities and learning experiences appropriate for K-12 students.  Responsible for academic advising and related activities.  Responsible for assisting with the supervision of students assigned to the school.  Responsible for attending staff conferences and curriculum development activities.  Responsible for involvement in action research, creative endeavors and service.
