The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), with support from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, is conducting a research project entitled “Connecting Science to Policy Around the World: Landscape Analysis and Feasibility Assessment for International S&T Policy Fellowships”. The project is mapping the multiple routes that exist for involving scientists and engineers in policy processes, as well as the conditions and factors that support successful and sustainable linkage mechanisms between scientists and policy in countries and regions around the world.
If you are familiar with the science policy landscape and/or the mechanisms connecting scientists and engineers with policy in your country or region, we would love to hear from you!
- Please complete this General Survey to help us learn more about the status of science-policy connections in your country or region. We are interested in collecting diverse perspectives from all sectors: government, academia, industry, scientific societies, think-tanks, academies of science, foundations and non-profit organizations.
- If you know of specific programs or mechanisms - formal or informal- for connecting scientists and engineers with policy processes in your country or region, please complete the Programs and Mechanisms Survey. These might include fellowship and internship programs, policy training programs, scientists-policymakers pairing schemes, science policy dialogues and conferences, chief scientists and advisory boards.
