The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) at the University of Connecticut is currently accepting applications for a research opportunity: Young Innovative Investigator Program (YIIP).  Open to college graduates, YIIP provides academic training and supervised lab experience to underrepresented minority students who are dedicated to pursuing a career in biological and biomedical science. By fulfilling the program requirements, YIIP students will acquire the expertise to become a competitive candidate to enter a MD, MD-PhD or PhD program.It’s important to note that scholarships are available to individuals accepted into the program.
