Postdoctoral Research Associate

A postdoctoral position to study synaptic transmission in the hippocampus is available immediately in the lab of Maria Bykhovskaia in Wayne State University. The project is focused on the link between synaptic transmission and epileptic activity in the brain. The studies utilize genetically modified mice and combine patch-clamp techniques and a range of molecular biology and microscopy approaches. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and have training in electrophysiology. Experience with recordings from mammalian brain is preferred.
