Urge your Members of Congress to Reject NSF Funding Cuts in 2014
Dear Colleague,
Last week I wrote urging you to take action on fiscal year (FY) 2014 funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Thanks to those who have already emailed your members of Congress on that issue. Click here to contact Congress about NIH funding if you have not already done so. In addition, I hope that you can find a few additional minutes to speak up in support of National Science Foundation (NSF) funding.
Sometime in the next few weeks the House and Senate Appropriations Committees will consider the bill that funds NSF. The spending limit for the House bill could mean additional cuts for NSF. However, the Senate has provided additional funding for the bill above the FY 2013 level. Please click here to email your Senators and Representative today to urge them to support $7.6 billion for NSF in FY 2014 – the amount recommended by FASEB. Speaking in unison, we can ensure our voice is heard!
