NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow position is currently available in the prostate cancer laboratory of Dr. Carlos A. Casiano at the Center for Health Disparities and Molecular Medicine (CHDMM) of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, located in Southern California.

The position is to study the molecular mechanisms by which glucocorticoid signaling contributes to chemotherapy resistance in prostate cancer, in the overall context of prostate cancer health disparities.   The position will provide an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary group of basic, behavioral and public health scientists as well as clinicians interested in understanding biological determinants contributing to health disparity diseases such as cancer and diabetes.  It would also provide opportunities for participating as a mentor in the training of a diverse group of students at different academic levels participating in the pipeline research training programs of the CHDMM.

Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in biomedical science or related field.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cancer research, molecular cell biology, animal models, and bioinformatics.   Interested candidates should contact Dr. Casiano (ccasiano@llu.edu) and include a current curriculum vitae for inquiries about this position.
