Auxilio Biolab, the basic and translational research laboratory of the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital, has a post-doctoral fellow position available for a highly motivated PhD with a background in protein expression, biochemistry and cell biology.
Our laboratory is studying the biology of bioactive lipids including sphingosine-1-phosphate and lysophosphatidic acid in red blood cells and cancer cells, and developing novel cancer treatments based on enzymes that degrade these lipids.
Applicants must have a PhD and strong grant/science writing, laboratory, and analytical skills. Experience with bacterial and mammalian cells culture, protein expression in CHO and/or 293 cells, ELISA, western blots, chromatography, and DNA manipulation are required.
Applicants will work under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Canto, Auxilio BioLab Director, and will be encouraged to co-author grants. Base salary is $36,000 and may be supplemented with grant revenue. The position will be available starting July 1st.
