Nominations for the Ruth Kirschstein Diversity in Science award will be accepted starting in February 2014. Nominations must be submitted by an ASBMB member, however nominees need not be ASBMB members. For more information, go towww.asbmb.org/awards.
 
The abstract submission deadline for the ASBMB Annual Meeting in San Diego is November 8, 2013. The deadline for travel awards is November 19, 2013. For more information, go to www.asbmb.org/meeting2014.
 
The 2014 Ford Foundation Fellowship competition is open and the postdoctoral application deadline is November 20, 2013. For more information about the program and application deadlines, please visit http://sites.nationalacademies.org/PGA/FordFellowships/index.htm.
