Undergraduate Education and Student Success at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Coordinator of Undergraduate Research/Lecturer. The anticipated start date is February 1, 2022. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Research/Instructor teaches student success-oriented courses (or other University courses), including First Year Seminar, and is responsible for promoting and coordinating student involvement in undergraduate research. Coordination responsibilities include working with academic units to develop and promote undergraduate research offerings, assisting students in matching to research opportunities, tracking and assessing undergraduate research participation, and developing a staff of student undergraduate research ambassadors to support the program.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree. Ability to multitask, function as a member of a team, and work independently and/or with little supervision. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational, and technological skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in conducting independent research or scholarship, especially as an undergraduate, is strongly preferred. Background with communication/marketing strategies and software, as well as print and social media promotion, web page development, and public speaking. Prior responsibility for administration or administrative support, assessment/program evaluation, or promotion of a university initiative. Experience with data analysis, database software, and report development. Proficiency with Excel.
