The success of a new channel is dependent on people being interested and watching it. As Crash Course ventures into the world of Spanish language content, we'd like to thoughtfully build our audience and we need expert help.
At Complexly, we make educational content that helps our audiences develop a nuanced and complex view of the world around us. Crash Course, one of our most renowned channels, invites students, teachers, and lifelong learners to tackle subjects they might have had trouble with or are curious to learn more about. To better support more learners, we're soon launching a new Spanish language channel on YouTube
As our freelance Spanish Language Community & Audience Development Consultant, you'll support the launch of this new Spanish language channel and build a new community around it. Responsibilities include leading community development and audience growth using social media, cross-promotional activations and direct marketing outreach efforts. You should have experience growing and engaging social communities, preparing more formal communications (blog posts, newsletters), and corresponding with various stakeholders (funding partners, educational organizations). Speaking Spanish and English smoothly and naturally is essential for the role, you'll often need to translate with a native-Speaking audience in mind. This is a team project, and you'll be expected to work collaboratively.

Rate of Pay: $40/hour, avg 3-5 hours per week
Reports to: Executive Producer
Term: 6 months, starting mid-Nov with possibility of extension
