Program Description:

The UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program is a workforce development program that provides undergraduate students the opportunity to explore the field of public health through a full-time internship with a community partner, presentations from subject matter experts, and professional development workshops. Scholars receive mentorship from FSPH faculty and graduate students.

In addition to internship days (Tues—Thurs), scholars will be responsible for creating a health equity poster that will be presented at the CDC Showcase in Atlanta, Georgia with alongside scholars from other programs across the nation.

Scholars are housed at UCLA (at no cost) and receive a $3,000 stipend as well as some food/transportation assistance to offset to costs of living in Los Angeles for the summer.

The application for Summer 2023 is open from November 1 through January 31, 2023.
