Científico Latino’s Graduate School Engagement and Community (GSEC) program seeks to support diverse graduate students as they navigate their first year in graduate school. This program provides access to small mentorship groups, professional development workshops, and community events. We have had over 250 graduate students enrolled in our program over two years. This year, GSEC is open to the public. Incoming first-year graduate students are invited to apply for this year-long program.
If you are an advanced graduate student or postdoc, and you are passionate about mentorship and retention of underrepresented STEM trainees in grad school, please consider applying to be a GSEC mentor. Applications for mentors and mentees close on May 20. You can learn more about GSEC and about applying here.
