The National Science Foundation (NSF) and SACNAS are excited to host our second fully-funded workshop on Grant Writing and Peer Review for early career scientists!

What do you gain? Participants will learn to critique grant proposals as well as how to develop their own with the guidance of peers and advisors.

Who should apply? Applicants should be postdocs or early career professionals who are interested in submitting a grant proposal to either the Biological Sciences (BIO) or STEM Education (EDU) directorates at NSF. You can learn more about BIO directorates at NSF here and EDU directorates at NSF here. Competitive applications from advanced graduate students may be considered.

Eligibility: This program is open to all applicants across the U.S, however, applicants that study and/or reside in the East Coast (i.e. Maine, Maryland, New York, Georgia, Florida, etc.) and U.S. Caribbean Territories (Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands) will be given priority to attend the workshop.

Location: The in-person 2.5-day event will occur August 14 - 16 in Miami, Florida.

Cost: The airfare and lodging will be provided to all accepted participants!

Apply by June 23, 2023!
