COMPASS is delighted to announce a call for applications for the 2023 Wilburforce Leaders in Conservation Science! This 9-month program is designed to support conservation experts to advance solutions that will lead to a future where the people, wildlife, and wild places of western North America thrive. Over the course of the program, participants will form enduring connections with a broader network of conservation leaders, identify levers of change to achieve their strategic conservation goals, and strengthen internal and external skills needed for changemaking work.
The program looks for applicants whose work relates to the conservation of wild lands and wildlife in western North America and who demonstrate generosity, respect for other perspectives, and an openness to learning and growing. They welcome applicants from all backgrounds and fields of study, including Indigenous knowledge, social science, and biophysical science. You can view all of the eligibility criteria here.
Deadline to apply is May 31.
