The MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP) seeks to promote the value of graduate education; to improve the research enterprise through increased diversity; and to prepare and recruit the best and brightest for graduate education at MIT. Students who participate in this program will be better prepared and motivated to pursue advanced degrees, thereby helping to sustain a rich talent pool in critical areas of research and innovation.
ELEGIBILITY
- Enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program in the U.S.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or non-graduating Senior
- Must have an interest in research and/or obtaining a PhD
- Must have a 3.5 GPA
- Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in academic research and/or teaching
- International students with appropriate visa & work authorizations may apply
PARTICIPANT BENEFITS
- $5400 stipend

- Opportunity to co-author a scientific paper with a faculty mentor
