Auxilio Biolab, the basic and translational research laboratory of the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital, has a post-doctoral fellow position available for a highly motivated individual with a background in protein expression, biochemistry and cell biology.
Our laboratory is studying the biology of bioactive lipids such as sphingosine-1-phosphate and lysophosphatidic acid in red blood cells and cancer cells, and developing novel cancer treatments based on enzymes that degrade these lipids.
Applicants should have a PhD and strong grant/science writing, laboratory, and analytical skills. Experience with bacterial and mammalian cells culture, protein expression in CHO and/or 293 cells, ELISA, western blots, and DNA manipulation are required.
Applicants will work under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Canto, Auxilio BioLab Director, and will be included as co-Investigator in submitted grants. Base salary is $26,000 and may be supplemented with grant revenue. The position will be available starting July 1st.
