Virginia Tech hosts annually that may be of interest to some of your graduate students. It is an intensive two-day event for doctoral candidates and post-doctoral scholars interested in academic careers.
Each year, we bring a cohort of 12 to our main campus in Blacksburg, VA for this all-expense paid workshop that includes interaction with host departments, workshops such as negotiating job offers and adjusting to life as a new faculty member, and plenty of opportunities to network with faculty in research areas of interest to our participants.
