Research Technician – Lab Manager

Full-time research technician position available starting May 1 2018 in the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (dcnl.georgetown.edu) directed by Chandan Vaidya. The successful applicant will be responsible for fMRI data collection, recruitment efforts, administrative duties, and day-to-day operation of the lab. Ongoing studies involve functional brain imaging in adults and children. The job requires fMRI data acquisition skills, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to interact with multiple personnel, supervision of undergraduates, high motivation and initiative, and ability to work with children. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in an experimental psychology laboratory using EEG or fMRI. Commitment of 2 years is required.

Research Technician – fMRI Data Analyst

Full-time research technician position available starting May 1 2018 in the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (dcnl.georgetown.edu) directed by Chandan Vaidya. The successful applicant will be responsible for fMRI data collection and imaging data processing and analysis for a NIH grant focusing on pediatric psychiatric disorders. The job requires fMRI data acquisition and advanced analysis skills, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to interact with multiple personnel, high motivation and initiative, and ability to work with children. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience with brain imaging data analysis including proficiency with matlab, R, and common brain imaging analysis software. Commitment of 2 years is required.

Post-doctoral Fellow

Opening for a Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience with interests in developmental cognitive neuroscience. Position requires proficiency with fMRI data analysis and advanced methods for functional network analysis. Opportunities exist to be involved in multiple projects all of which focus on questions about executive functioning in healthy adults, children, or those with psychiatric disorders.
