Thirteen students from the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras received awards at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in Indiana. The students who were recognized are:

  • Franklin Avilés in Physical Chemistry
  • José Reyes in Amalytical Chemistry
  • José Mercado in Organic Chemistry
  • Laura Penabad in Environmental Chemistry
  • Ángel Hernández in Organic Chemistry
  • Cristian Martínez in Biological Chemistry
  • Gabriel Rojas in Developmental Biology and Genetics
  • Judith Reyes in Microbial Virology
  • Adrianna Rivera in Immunology
  • Gabriela Rosado in Bioengineering
