A group of neuroscientists, lead by Fabricio DoMonte and Gregory Quirk,  at the University of Puerto Rico - Medical Science Campus, revealed how the brain reacts to a frustrating event. According to the scientists a subcortical region of the brain is activated during moments of frustration.
