We’re looking to you to be the primary administrative and financial resource to the Senior Associate Dean of Bioscience Graduate Education, while serving as a key adviser to faculty leaders of Graduate Programs in Bioscience (GPB), Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), and postdoctoral education in the David Geffen School of Medicine and the Life Sciences Division of the College. You will provide high-level financial and administrative expertise, leadership, evaluation, and critical analysis. You will also oversee all centralized activities, including outreach and marketing to prospective students and postdoctoral scholars; annual recruitment and admission of approximately 70 Ph.D. students into ten Home Areas of the seven Ph.D. programs in GPB; and programs/activities/initiatives for current graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
Other responsibilities include directing the financial planning and budgeting for institutional training support and overseeing information systems and control mechanisms to track $24M in student financial support from multiple fund sources across the university delivered to 400-500 graduate students annually.
