Do you want to...?
Improve your teaching skills at all levels?
Reach out to the next generation of minority scientists?
Participate in outreach activities to K-12 students and teachers?
Become more comfortable talking about physiology careers?

If so, consider applying to be an APS K-12 Minority Outreach Fellow. This program seeks to foster communication between minority graduate and postdoctoral students and middle/high school minority life sciences students.

Program activities in this year-long outreach fellowship include:
1.) visiting K-12 classrooms;
2.) conducting teacher professional development workshops, and
3.) attending scientific meetings (EB, ABRCMS, SACNAS).

Eligibility
In order to apply for this program, you must be:
1.) a past or current APS Minority Travel Fellow or APS Porter Physiology Development Fellow;
2.) an upper level graduate student (have passed preliminary exams or finished coursework) or a postdoctoral fellow;
3.) conducting research within the 50 States and U.S. Territories; and
4.) a student or regular member of the APS (or must be willing to join).
