In this workshop, you will learn how to:

• Use the Galaxy web interface
• Assess the quality of NGS data
• Submit NGS data to NCBI repositories
• Assemble “de novo” a prokaryotic genome
• Annotate a prokaryotic genome
• Classify a microbiome dataset
• Use visualization tools to understand assemblies and features
• Gain access to free supercomputing resources for coursework, and research projects
