We invite applications for a full-time, open rank tenure-track 9-month appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the area of Cell/Molecular Biology. We are particularly interested in a colleague who uses eukaryotic systems and cross-disciplinary approaches to investigate fundamental questions in biology. We seek a colleague who will establish and maintain a vigorous, externally funded research program that complements existing research in a broadly based biology department. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate through graduate levels at a minority majority institution. We seek an individual who will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, student success, and working with a diverse community.  The University of New Mexico is classified a Carnegie Research University with Very High Activity and is located in Albuquerque, a city with a rich cultural heritage situated in a spectacular Southwest location. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline at the time of application, and must have at least two years of post-doctoral research experience at the start of the appointment.  For complete job requirements see Assistant/Associate Professor, Cell Molecular Biologist at https://unmjobs.unm.edu, REQ#2457.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three representative reprints, description of current and future research and teaching interests, a diversity statement, and names of three references. All application materials must be uploaded and submitted through UNMjobs, https://unmjobs.unm.edu. For best consideration, application materials must be received by November 6, 2017. Questions related to this posting may be directed to Dr. Eric Denkers, edenkers@unm.edu.

The University of New Mexico is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and Educator. Women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
