Internado de verano en Stanford Cardiovascular Institute

The Stanford Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) has recently received the American Heart Association Institutional Undergraduate Fellowship grant that will provide a vital funding mechanism necessary to support the training of promising undergraduate students in cardiovascular research at Stanford.

We plan to recruit 5 to 8 undergraduate students to undertake a 10-week long summer research program in the labs of CVI affiliated Stanford faculty members who will serve as mentors to these students. This opportunity could have a tremendous impact on the career choices of undergraduate students.

Each student will receive a stipend of $7000. The program dates are flexible (based on each student’s academic commitments and availability), with the requirement that the student’s program duration must include working in the assigned Stanford labs between July 16 – August 10. This will allow CVI to plan events fostering student interactions, meeting with a panel of faculty mentors and to make oral/poster presentations of their research on a designated day.
