Position: Associate Researcher in Proteomics

Job Description

Assist in the design and management of projects related to proteomics and health disparities generated by faculty and students. Collaborate with the Center Coordinator and Bioinformatician in the design of experiments, manuscript revisions, literature revision and annual reports. Responsible for proteomics analysis, imaging, and data generated from study samples. Responsible for quotes and purchasing of materials and equipment for the Center. Participate in periodic meetings and provide training to students, post-docs and faculty.

Requirements

Master or Doctorate in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry with knowledge in mass spectrometry and proteomics analyses. Experience in instrument management, equipment, and laboratory techniques, with particular emphasis of mass spectrometer using LTQ-XL, electrophoresis, HPLC, Mascot, Scaffold, and Ingenuity Pathway analyses. Knowledge of the best laboratory practices, excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English is required.
