Minority travel fellowship for students to attend Annual AChemS Conference-deadline January 6

ACHEMS DIVERSITY TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS AChemS is pleased to announce the availability of travel fellowships for under-represented individuals interested in the chemical senses. The fellowships, funded by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, covers the cost of travel, meals, lodging, and registration to attend the annual meeting of AChemS. Groups underrepresented in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences are defined by the NIH as people with disabilities and underrepresented racial and ethnic groups such as blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders. Only applications from individuals meeting these criteria will be considered. Applicants need not be AChemS members, but are limited to citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States or to individuals who have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States (i.e., in possession of an Alien Registration Receipt Card or some other legal evidence of admission for permanent residence at the time of application). Undergraduates and Graduate students are eligible for the fellowship. Awardees will be selected according to their academic background, experience, and research interests.
