Apply for ASMCUE Travel Awards ASMCUE Textbook Travel Award The ASMCUE Textbook Travel Award is targeted to faculty members who have begun teaching undergraduate microbiology students within the past three years at an accredited U.S. college or university. Recipients may include postdoctoral scientists and/or early-career faculty members. ASMCUE Textbook Travel Award Information and Application Early-Career Faculty Travel Award ASM offers travel awards to increase participation by early-career undergraduate faculty, post-doctoral scientists or senior level graduate students interested in teaching careers in ASMCUE. Early-Career Faculty Travel Award Information and Application Faculty Enhancement Program Travel Award Faculty who are first-time attendees of ASMCUE and who teach microbiology at 2 or 4 year institutions with a large percentage of historically excluded and underrepresented students are eligible to apply for an award to attend ASMCUE 2013 and receive a one-year membership to ASM. Submit to Microbrew Sessions: Mixing Ideas for Successful Teaching Strategies in Microbiology Submission Deadline: February 15 The ASMCUE Steering Committee invites Microbrew abstract submission on best practices in microbiology or biology education. This session is a forum for sharing ideas and thoughts and accepted presenters will be asked to make a 15-minute oral presentation discussing topics such as (but not limited to) successful: -in class activities Assessment of the topics presented is NOT required, and presenters should use this time as an opportunity to field test the ideas and activities that they have developed on an audience of their peers.
