The Puerto Rico Science Technology and Research Trust will now accept applications for its research funding programs until November 14. For more information see here: http://prsciencetrust.org/research-grants-program/

The Advanced Research Grants Program (ARG) (previously known as Science and Technology Grants RFP) is a solicited proposal mechanism with the goal of providing proof-of-concept funding to advance locally developed science and technology projects to a point where these will be able to be further developed through alternate sources of funding (e.g. federal R&D funding, angel and private investments, etc.) and/or commercialized (through licensing, sales, acquisitions, vertical venture integration or a combination of these).

Please refer to the Guidelines before applying.

Important Dates:

  • Letters of Intent Due:  November 7, 2018
    Extended Deadline: November 14, 2018
  • Notification of Invitation for Full Proposal – December 27, 2018
  • Full Proposal Due – February 6, 2019

The Catalyzer Research Grant Program (CRG) (previously known as the Small Research Grant Program) aims to help local researchers increase their probabilities of success in securing federal funding for their research and development activities. It is well acknowledged by scientists that R&D funding in Puerto Rico could be significantly increased if local researchers are provided with adequate resources that enabled them to arrive at critical milestones in their research endeavors. In particular, the CRG will provide bridge funding to help researchers to position their R&D proposals competitively prior to the submission, or resubmission, to private or federal agencies.

Please refer to the Guidelines before applying.

Important Dates:

  • Partial Application Due – November 7, 2018
    Extended Deadline: November 14, 2018
    * Full application will also open on the same date (11/14/2018)
  • Full Application Due – December 7, 2018
